Cleo is a 19month old German shepherd female who will be coming over to John tomorrow morning after being abandoned in Ireland.
Cleo's foster carer in Ireland said this about her:
Cleo is timid, affectionate and in many ways easy to work with. She is also ball motivated and food motivated. Excitable when going for walks, fearful in new places, non reactive on leash to passers by and other dogs.
When on her own in the outside run she is reactive to nearby livestock and any strangers. Cleo ignores other dogs in the kennels but is mouthy when let play with other dogs. When walked on leash with other dogs she attempts to muzzle punch the other dog to instigate a reaction.
If Cleo is let off leash to have free run she will not run about, she goes straight to lie down at your feet and show no interest in anything. She needs to be encouraged to play.
Much time has been spent encouraging Cleo to toilet outside, as yet there is no improvement in this area.
As Cleo's foster carer I believe Cleo needs to be rehomed by a handler experienced in dealing with dogs that have similar issues as Cleo.
