Chase is looking for that special person that can give him the love & patience that he needs.
This is what 1 of the volunteers from Vigil has to say:Chase has lived in a family with several kids. Unfortunately the man was apparently 'known to the police' and has been in and out of jail a few times. They've now separated and the woman was left with a dog she never wanted.
At first Chase was given to another rescue but they were scared of him and sent him back after a few days. They would not touch him and used a dog catcher's pole to get him in and out of his kennel and when transporting him. We think this has exacerbated his wariness of strangers.
In the short time he's been with us he's mixed well with a few volunteers and has shown little sign of his supposed aggression. I (MP) have been able to stroke him and have had little licks from him in return! We believe we should be able to re-establish his trust in people so that he can show himself as a good example of this breed, but we would want only a good experienced home that will have the ability to provide a calm, secure base for him to build on.
For rehoming please contact Sue gibbons on 01444 453302 Donation and home check applies.
