Magic B&T boy homed

Magic came into rescue in 2009. Magic is a special dog.

He had a poor start to life and quickly developed a tail chasing habit. This caused quite a serious injury to his tail and he had to have part of it amputated. Unfortunately, the owners didn't take enough care of him and didn't take him back for a check up at the vets. A serious infection took hold and soon after going into rescue, he had to have a further section of tail removed.

He's on the right of this photo watching Sophie and Ben play.



He spent a few weeks with a well known behaviourist on Exmoor. She managed to train him out of his tail chasing habit.

He went out to a home but sadly Magic came back into rescue. He apparently bit the vet and his 'mum' became concerned that he might bite her children (even though he'd been wonderful with them all the time he was with them). Magic did have a terrible history of going to the vet and having horrible things happen to him so we know it's a very specific situation that gets him stressed.

Magic's story

The Magic has arrived,Thanks to les a vigil helper who brought him to me.

Magic was on a organised dog walk today at Chertsey Meads and was on his best behaviour,he was a big hit with the other owners.

Magic with his new found friend Alfred a Surrey rescue dog who is also looking for his new home.

Magic with his now 2 best buddies luddy and Albert all 3 are looking for there new homes either in the Vigil gsd rescue or German Shepherd rescue Surrey sections and this forum

I had the pleasure of meeting Magic at John's, he is a lovely boy who enjoys playing ball with you. I got him sitting and laying down before throwing his ball, he is a very responsive dog and has no problem working for his his reward ... the ball and he would enjoy and benefit some form of training to become a fab addition to a very lucky family.
