Rocky has come into rescue through no fault of his own. Earlier this year he and his owners came into the UK at Dover to find their paperwork was not right so Rocky had to spend 6 months in kennels till he was confirmed safe. He will be coming into rescue with John in Chertsey Surrey. At this moment we know very little about him but will post again when we do. Here is what was said about the situation 6 months ago.

This is an appeal to help this boy who is a very friendly Male GSD who currently is being held in quarantine in Dover.

His owner brought him into the country with a pet passport but failed to have relevant blood tests taken which made the passport invalid. His owner cannot afford the bill to hold him for 6 months in a quarantine kennel and has now relinquished all claim to him and has said to have him PTS. The kennels have very kindly offered to reduce the bill for his quarantine to £1,000 ( usually its at least £,000)

The City of London authority ( who is responsible for the dog) has also offered to pay half of the remaining £1,000 (that's how nice this dog is) and the kennel staff have fallen in love with the boy.

We are therefore appealling (again) sorry people, I know funds are tight, to try and raise £500.00 to get this boy's bill paid and when he is able onto a new life with a new owner.

Any offers of a new home when the time comes will be most welcome and visits can be arranged. However the kennels cannot have a succession of people in and out and appointments would need to be made.

Rocky has arrived with me ,Here he is with Ruth and her girl Lollabel, We have now been told that Rocky is a french boy and that he came over from France earlier in the year with his owners on a holiday ??.He is a x breed with a little of something else maybe Husky or something simular, but never the less he is a friendly guy,At this moment he is having 40 winks before teatime.

Rocky sounds like a lovely lad. The kennels staff obviously adored him.

I have mentioned him on Twitter. I hope he finds his new home soon.

Rocky is still looking for that elusive new home,But while he waits he gets to do what he likes best to go out with me in his harness in my passenger seat.Hes a big crowed puller when out and in Tescos car park where he silently looks after my van.

rocky on a recent dog walk heres what his handler has to say about him.

I had the pleasure of walking the lovely Rocky at Chertsey Meads today. He was easy to walk in a martingale headcollar and mingled happily with the other dogs. I can't understand why he hasn't found a home yet - he's a :glitter_love:
He not a mud-monster but was happy to have a little paddle in the river.
