This is Buster when he first came in -
And this is Buster now -
Buster is a 13 year GSD x Collie who arrived into rescue after he snapped at his owners grandchild.
He was due to be put to sleep because of it.
Buster was very underweight and weighed in at just 20kg. He should of been 40 - 45kg at least.
He also had a lot of muscle wastage. This was where his body has been using muscle reserves to keep going.
It meant that he had a weak back end, so gentle exercise was started to build this up slowly.
When he was wormed he produced about 10 very large round worms, so these would have contributed to his emaciated condition on arrival.
Buster has progressed well in rescue and in just two weeks had put on nearly 20kg in weight.
Buster is a very soft natured dog who gets on with most dogs he meets, both males and females.
We have seen no aggression from him towards people, but because of his past we are looking for a no child environment - this includes both children who live in the home or visiting children.
He is safe to be around people in public places and meets strangers and other dogs very well.
Buster cannot live with cats.
Buster has no known health problems.
Buster has been castrated, fully vaccinated and microchipped, plus his worming and flea treatment has been bought up to date.
A homecheck will be carried out and a minimum adoption fee of £150 applies.
