Cooper will be going into foster with John in Chertsey this Tuesday so please contact him direct. 01932 571268
This is from Gill in Ireland:
Cooper was found in February by a family near to me. They brought him home, hoping to find his owner.
He spent a number of weeks with the people who found him, they had a small dog & older
teenage kids, but both parents worked so Cooper was out in the garden, which wasn't very secure,
& he went AWOL a few times.
They also brought him away for the weekend. When he first saw the sea he was very unsure of it
then he suddenly hopped into their canoe and did his Titanic impression at the bow of the canoe.
He loved the water so much they also brought him canoeing on a river & with a long lead attached he swam
alongside their canoe for 2- 3 miles !! This guy would swim up & down the Thames !!
You keep paddling, I'll look for rocks

Sadly, they knew they couldn't keep him with both working & the kids in school.
They contacted me and Cooper came into kennels I use, last February. No one
came forward to adopt him & Donna ( DBARC) very kindly offered to take him
about 6/7 weeks ago. Cooper is very stressed in kennels now - between here
in the kennels I use & at DBARC
He will need a very active owner(s)
Very secure garden
Lots of activity as he has a high level of energy.
He is a strong fellow and weight about 35kgs.
He is brilliant travelling in a car.
Recall needs work.
HATES cats with a passion.
I think Cooper was never an "indoor" dog, like so many dogs in Ireland
he most likely lived outside, so he will need some basic house manners.
An ideal dog for an owner with large dog experience & a love of outdoor life
activities
Lovely temperment, but between my rescue & DBARC he has been
too long in kennels.
He is way too strong for a family with young kids, only teenagers.
Cooper is neutered/ fully vaccinated ( including against kennel cough) / wormed/ microchipped.
