Mac was a stray and has come to Vigil from a pound in the South West. They were warned that he wasn't good with men, but he actually seems to be okay! Several volunteers met him on the day he came in and he quickly made friends with all. They also mixed him with a couple of other dogs and he showed very good manners.
There's more thoughts on this gorgeous boy from the vigil walkers at
http://vigilgsdrescue.org.uk/forum/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=461 Mac is now with Mary from
http://www.pawfectdogschool.com/ This is what she said about him:
Mac is currently in my care whilst he recovers from surgery, he is heavily bandaged and the dressing must remain on and clean. A recent fundraising day nominated Mac as the beneficiary.
I have met and walked Mac several times, he's non reactive, polite, sincere.
OMG how is this boy still in rescue?
Mac underwent surgery yesterday to remove uncomfortable and unsightly double dew claws on rear feet, described by vet staff as an irritant and a degree of discomfort when walking.
How wonderful would it be if this lad went straight from here to a new home, Mac is simply delightful, everything as above and much more. He's going to be a big dog, he's under weight, loves his food.
Mac is a missed opportunity for anyone looking for a faithful, lovely, non reactive dog.
Mac is neutered and micro chipped.
Mac has recovered from his surgery & is ready to go to his new home.
